More Ningxia / Essential Oil Shots

Alan’s EO Explosion

I recently posted some Ningxia Shot recipes from the recent Young Living convention in Orlando.  Since then I have been experimenting with a variation of the The Nuclear Explosion (see previous posts) and here is what I am currently using.

I take these oils in 1 ounce of Ningxia Red (in a shot glass)and stir them with a toothpick.  I then shoot it (one mouthful) but do not swallow immediately in order to allow many of the oil ingredients to be absorbed directly into the bloodstream through the oral mucosa.  I have taken these shots both before and after a light breakfast.  I think I prefer before but sometimes I forget.  My body is “lovin’ it”.

The current EO mix:

Lemon:  consists of 68 percent d-limonene, a powerful antioxidant and is a tonic for supporting the nervous and sympathetic nervous system.

Orange:  lifts the spirit while providing a calming influence on the body. Orange brings peace and happiness to the mind. It is rich in the powerful antioxidant d-limonene and aids in maintaining normal cellular regeneration.

Peppermint:  for soothing digestion, it may also restore digestive efficiency.  Ability to improve concentration and mental sharpness.   May improve taste and smell when inhaled.

Ginger:  Supportive of the digestive system, ginger is commonly used to soothe, comfort, and balance digestive discomfort.

Lemongrass:  Refreshing, rejuvenating, stimulating, and balancing, it inspires and improves mental clarity. Lemongrass also supports the circulatory system.

Frankincense:  Useful for visualizing, improving one’s spiritual connection, and centering, it has comforting properties that help focus the mind and overcome stress and despair.   Also a valuable ingredient in skin care products for aging and dry skin.

Lavender:  an adaptogen, and therefore can assist the body when adapting to stress or imbalances. It is a great aid for relaxing and winding down before bedtime, yet has balancing properties that can also boost stamina and energy.

Sacred Frankincense:  ideal for those who wish to take their spiritual journey and meditation experiences to a higher level.  Frankincense has also demonstrated strong anti-tumor properties.

Copaiba:  from South America that has traditionally been used to aid digestion and support the body’s natural response to injury or irritation.

Tangerine:  helps with occasional nervous irritability. An excellent oil to help uplift the spirit and bring about a sense of security, tangerine is also rich in the powerful antioxidant d-limonene.

Ocatea:  has the highest level of alpha humulene which aids the body’s natural response to irritation and injury.

The experiment continues and I will change it up as the spirit moves me (after more research and intuitively).
